Jinaz
JINAZ showed great music promise from very early on and started singing at the tender age of four (4).Encouraged by her mother she went on to reach the finals of "Young Pianist of the Year" at the tender age of 10. She completed her Grade 8 piano certificate at 14 and currently uses her skills as an artist/ songwriter/ producer making contemporary music in her own little studio.
No stranger to success she was fronting Hi-Gate, the band featuring Judge Jules and Paul Masterson when their debut single entered the UK charts at no. 6 in January 2000. They enjoyed repeat success with their follow up which entered at no.12 in August 2000. Jinaz has also fronted the house band Superfly in Channel 4's Richard Blackwood Show where she sung and co-wrote the theme tune.
During the TV series she worked with many household names such as Mel B, Mel C, Donnel Jones, Lynden David Hall, Mos def, TQ, LL Cool J, Artful Dodger and Public Enemy. An accomplished pianist and violinist JINAZ has also performed and accompanied artists such as Mary J Blige, Spiller, Sonique, Jamiroquai & Jamelia.
A highly trained dancer, JINAZ reached the All England Dance Finals and went on to gain ISTD certificates in Jazz, Tap, National Modern, Ballet and Afro-Caribbean dance. She often works a dance instructor/ choreographer and she still holds regular DANCE workshops where she teaches Street Dance, Socarobics, Afro-Caribbean ,Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, National & Aerobics/Body Conditioning... Jinaz has many varied and diverse interests including fashion design and kick-boxing!
Just finished recording her debut album "BACK 2 NATURE"
Jinaz is signed to "Killer Records" on a joint venture recording deal.
